TEAM GRASSROOTS VOICE ENDORSES TINUBU/ SHETTIMA FOR PRESIDENT AND SANWO-OLU/ HAMZAT SECOND TERM


The leadership of independent Campaign Council for Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat (ICC) received about a thousand of Team Grassroots Voice who came to endorse the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and gave a nod in support of Sanwo-Olu/ Hamzat second term bid.  


In a well-organized event powered by the Directorate of Volunteers of the ICC, ably led by Prince Abiodun Abu.


This endorsement came, as electioneering campaigns are in top gear across the nation.  Team Grassroots Voice’s members are reputed to be in all the 57 local government areas of the state.


Mr. Tayo Ayinde, the Director General of the ICC commended the leader of Team Grassroots Voice, Engr. Bode Best for putting up such a great and formidable group. He appreciated them for turning up in their large numbers. Mr. Ayinde went on to explain the voting process, so that we don’t make errors. He called on the Director of Voters Education Directorate, Barrister Lola Alakija to enlighten the gathering on the intricacies of the new voting system.


The chairman of the ICC, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku challenged the group to go and vote for APC candidates commencing from the presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and others representing the party.


Vice Chairman of the ICC, Alhaji Sikiru Alabi Macfoy addressed the crowd that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu originated federal character in Lagos State. He noted that all tribes and regions from across Nigeria formed the Lagos State cabinet.


The leader of Team Grassroots Voice, Engr. Bode Best promised the ICC leadership total support for all the candidates of All Progressives Congress.


Also speaking at the event, Director of  Mobilization, Alhaji Abdulahi Enilolobo was emphatic on his description about Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He noted that Asiwaju produced so many people that have excelled in private and public sector, as such, there could not be basis of comparison among the presidential candidates with the great success Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had achieved. Enilolobo mentioned that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has done credibly well. 


He reminded that Governor Sanwo-Olu is the most challenged Governor in the history of Lagos State. Despite the challenges, Mr Governor modeled a medical concept that helped bring down the COVID-19 pandemic and he handled the Endsars protest intelligently.
