CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA HOLDS PRAYERS SESSION FOR TINUBU/SHETTIMA AND SANWO-OLU/HAMZAT


The Lagos State Chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) held a prayer session for the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the General Elections gets closer. 

The prayers event which was hosted by the Directorate of Christians Affairs of Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/ Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) ably headed by Prof. (Bishop) Rufus Oguntuase. 


While addressing the gathering, the Director General of the Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat (ICC), Mr. Tayo Ayinde appreciated the CAN Chairman, Rev. Dr. Stephen Adegbite. 


Mr. Ayinde went further to commend the efforts of the Christians leaders for coming to pray at the ICC. The DG said Christians should pray for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu and their running mates, because they are competent and capable leaders. 


Chairman of the ICC, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku commended the leadership of CAN and Directorate of Christian Affairs, he says God has already answered all our prayers. 


In his remarks, Rev. Dr. Stephen Adegbite the CAN Chairman appreciated the commitment of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to the cause of Good Governance. He said their visit to the ICC is to pray for a peaceful and victorious election. He noted that the challenges the nation is facing shall be thing of the past in a short while.


Dignitaries at the event were Mr. Tayo Ayinde, Director General of ICC, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku (Chairman ICC), Rev. Dr. Stephen Adegbite (Lagos State CAN Chairman), Mr. Kola Peregrino (Deputy Director General), Bishop Rufus Oguntuase (Director Christians Affairs), Mr. Jubril Gawat (Director of New Media), Rev. Bukola Adeleke (Deputy Director Christians Affairs), Archbishop Ehindero (Deputy Director) Pastor J. Adekunle (Secretary Christians Affairs) among others.
