The lawmaker representing the good people of Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 02 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu reiterated his commitment to effective representation at the just concluded 10th Constituency Stakeholders' Meeting.

He emphasized the importance of continuous engagement between lawmakers and their constituents to ensure responsive governance.

Hon. Olotu made this commitment during the assembly’s 10th Constituency Stakeholders’ meeting held on Thursday, 4th September, 2025 in Ijaiye/Ojokoro area of Lagos State.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Chairman, Ojokoro LCDA, Barr. Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, MHR, Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency, Hon. Adeyemi Olabinjo, Former MHR, Hon. Speaking to his constituents, Hon. Olotu underscored that legislators were elected to serve the interests of the people and not theirs.

Consequently, this year's theme has been carefully chosen to highlight the tangible benefits of governance particularly in alignment with the Renewed Hope Initiatives of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This reflects the strides we are making here in Lagos State and at the Lagos State House of Assembly in particular.

He noted, “We are representatives of the people. They voted for us to be their voice in the state. We must engage with them regularly, take their feedback, and report back on our activities.

The lawmaker explained that the annual stakeholders’ meeting provided a platform for legislators to brief constituents.

At our last Stakeholders' meeting, we addressed the issues of food security and proffered practical solutions. Today, we continue in that tradition of accountability and engendering participatory governance.

On this note, I want to assure you that the Lagos State House of Assembly remains fervently committed to your welfare and well being. Hon. Olotu assured that, he won't rest, until the impact of governance is felt in every corner of Ojokoro LCDA.
