FORMER COUNCILLORS IN OJOKORO ADOPTS HON. EMMANUEL OLOTU AS THEIR SOLE CANDIDATE
Pass Vote of Confidence, Charge Members to Mobilise Extensively for His Re-emergence
In a heartwarming and resounding demonstration of unity, loyalty, and unwavering solidarity, the Former Councillors of Ojokoro LCDA have unanimously endorsed Hon. Emmanuel Olotu for a second term as the Member representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
This historic endorsement came barely two hours after the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ojokoro Chapter, reached a unanimous decision to support the return of Hon. Emmanuel Olotu to the Lagos State House of Assembly—further amplifying the growing wave of confidence in his leadership and performance.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, the President of the Former Councillors, Hon. Raphael Falegan, commended Hon. Olotu for his outstanding leadership prowess, particularly in the areas of welfare, empowerment, employment facilitation, infrastructural development, and his unwavering commitment to the growth and upliftment of Ojokoro indigents.
He emphasized that the Former Councillors are exceptionally proud of Hon. Olotu, noting that he is one of their own—a former Councillor of Ojokoro LCDA who has carried the values and grassroots experience of the council into impactful legislative representation.
Hon. Nosiru Busari, a respected member of the Former Councillors Forum and Director-General of the Olotu Campaign Team, described Hon. Olotu’s performance as both excellent and people-oriented. He highlighted the lawmaker’s dedication to party welfare and constituency development, stating that his achievements have justified the call for his re-election.
He appealed to Hon. Olotu to continue to carry the Former Councillors along in his programmes, ensuring inclusive participation and shared progress.
On that note, he pronounced all Former Councillors present as automatic members of the Olotu Central Working Committee, charging them to serve as ambassadors of his achievements across their respective wards by spreading the gospel of his legislative accomplishments.
Hon. Musbau Adeniyi, in his remarks, declared that as a proud member of the noble house of Former Councillors, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu has been automatically endorsed to return to the Lagos State House of Assembly to continue representing the good people of Ifako Ijaiye Constituency II.
Adding his voice, Hon. Azeez Osho affirmed that the gathering was convened to solidly back the re-emergence of Hon. Olotu and assured that the Former Councillors would work assiduously toward his victorious return.
Hon. Waheed Akindele categorically stated that the house had long endorsed Hon. Olotu, describing him as arguably the best lawmaker in the history of Ifako Ijaiye Constituency II. He attributed this to Hon. Olotu’s humility, credibility, accessibility, and philanthropic disposition, which have endeared him to the people.
In a unanimous resolution, the Former Councillors passed a Vote of Confidence in Hon. Emmanuel Olotu and pledged their total support for his re-election bid, declaring that they stand solidly behind him.
In his response, Hon. Olotu expressed deep appreciation for the endorsement, reiterating that he remains one of them, having once served as a Councillor representing Ward G in Ojokoro LCDA. He assured the Forum of his commitment to inclusivity and continuous collaboration.
“I am poised to do more,” he declared. “I am better equipped to lobby for increased development, and this second term will usher in greater prosperity for all Ojokorians.”
As a mark of honour and recognition, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu was presented with the prestigious Award of Patron of the Former Councillors, Ojokoro Chapter.
With this decisive endorsement, the momentum behind Hon. Emmanuel Olotu’s second-term ambition continues to gather remarkable strength, reflecting deep-rooted grassroots support and a renewed collective commitment to sustained growth, unity, and accelerated development in Ifako Ijaiye Constituency II.
