2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: CARRY GO CONGRATULATES KASHIM SHETTIMA ON EMERGENCE AS TINUBU’S RUNNING MATE


The President of Change Agent Foundation International (CAFI-T23), Hon. Oladipupo Babatunde Okeyomi Carry Go  has congratulated former Governor of Lagos and also APC Presidential Flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for picking the Former Governor of Borno State and also current Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 poll.


Mr Okeyomi released this statement through his Media aide, Lateef Olawale on Monday in Lagos.


“Tinubu is a square peg in a square hole whose pedigree in the nation’s political space remains outstanding and speaks for itself,” he said.


Carry Go said that the choice of Mr. Shettima as Tinubu's running mate was a right step in the right direction.


“With the picking of a running mate, the candidacy is complete and APC is now set for the inevitable journey to return to Aso Rock come 2023,” he said.


The President of CAFI-T23, advised party members to see the emergence of Mr Shettima as Mr. Tinubu’s running mate as an act of God.


He urged party faithful to accept the decision and work together for the victory of APC in 2023 general elections.


“I urge all APC members to accept this decision in good faith and give the strongest support to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of Nigeria and Senator Shettima as his Vice President.


Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian tickets shouldn't be the subject of our agitation, but "Competency and Rapid Development" in all sectors should be our watchword.


 I will implore both Muslims and Christians in our great nation to support the candidacy of BAT/SHETTIMA


Carry Go described Mr Shetimma’s emergence as “meritorious nomination.”


“This is sequel to my conviction that the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima is a very distinguished, loyal, disciplined and committed party man who will add great value to and complement the presidential ticket given his well acknowledged, rich legislative and executive pedigree spanning several years in our country,” Mr. Okeyomi noted.


Carry Go asserted that Mr. Shettima not only balances the ticket but will serve as a partner to the APC Presidential candidate.


“I urge all party faithful to support the BAT/SHETTIMA ticket as we march towards actualizing the democratic and rapid development expectations of Nigerians to build "ONE NIGERIA".

  The Aliko Dangote Foundation has donated 80,000 bags of 10kg rice to support vulnerable communities in Lagos State.
