Today marks a significant milestone in the development and well-being of our dear Ward, as we gather to celebrate the generous donation of a borehole by our distinguished Councillor, Hon. Olusegun Benjamin Jolaosho 'Custard' and it's commissioned by the respected Apex Leader in Ifako Ijaiye/Ojokoro, High Chief Oluyomi Olaogun for the benefit of our people. This commissioning is coming a day, after the Councillor celebrates his birthday.


Water is life. Access to clean and safe drinking water is not merely a convenience but a fundamental necessity that sustains health, promotes hygiene, and enhances the dignity of every household. For too long, many families have faced challenges in accessing potable water, and this intervention stands as a practical response to that pressing need.


The useful and proactive councillor, representing the great people of Ward G, Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Olusegun Benjamin Jolaosho 'Custard' has been hailed for his outstanding performance in representing his people and bringing them the dividends of democracy.


The Councillor said, the donation of this borehole is a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and commitment to grassroots development. It reflects a deep understanding of the everyday struggles of the people and a resolve to bring governance closer to the community, which makes him donate borehole to his constituents precisely AROWOKOKO CDA, along Gbeleyi Road to ease them in getting water.



Development is most meaningful when it directly touches the lives of the people, and this project does exactly that.

Hon. Olusegun Benjamin Jolaosho 'Custard' who is serving his first term in office in his remarks disclosed that the major function of a lawmaker is to bring in a lasting solution to his or her constituency.


Custard hailed the Executive Chairman, Barr. Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, who he referred to as "Madam Sellable" for her unflinching support and also changed the narrative of the Ojokoro administration. He further said, he's following the footsteps of the Executive Chairman, because he has seen her tremendous achievements within short days in office.



In addition, Custard praised the lawmaker representing the good people of Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 02, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu, for his remarkable and outstanding performance since his inception in office. He said, OLOTU has been his role model, which he has been following his steps on how to make constituents enjoy dividends of democracy via lawmaking and physical projects, which I referred to as "White Flying Lion" In Ojokoro LCDA.


He further said, the constituents should exercise patience, that he will reach out to the nooks and crannies of Ward G either through lawmaking or physical projects within his capacity".


He commend the respected Apex Leader, High Chief Oluyomi Olaogun for commissioning this vital project. Leadership is not only about occupying positions of authority but about supporting initiatives that uplift the community.


The Commissioning which had the political creme de la creme of Ojokoro in attendance was the second time Custard will donate a laudable project in his constituent within six months which everyone was quite excited.


Chief Oluyomi Olaogun described Custard as an impressive legislator and an experienced Politician.


Chief Oluyomi Olaogun during the commissioning said he is particularly excited that Custard hasn’t disappointed him nor his constituents.


“It is worth celebrating that we have no cause to regret choosing Custard as our councillor in this ward". Chief Olaogun said



"By officially commissioning this borehole, the Councilor has shown unity, collaboration, and shared responsibility in serving the people" Chief Olaogun said.


Chief Olaogun said, this borehole is more than a structure; it is a symbol of hope, progress, and responsive representation. It will reduce the burden on women and children who often travel long distances in search of water. It will improve sanitation, reduce waterborne diseases, and strengthen the overall health of the community.


"The APC Chairman in Ward G, Hon. Adebisi Fadare "BISCOM" said this noble gesture, we must also embrace our responsibility. Let us ensure proper maintenance of this facility. Let us guard it against vandalism and misuse. Community development is a shared effort, and its sustainability depends on collective ownership".


The Party Chairman extol the Councillor for his clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and commitment to grassroot development. The Party Chairman admits that, the Councillor has been working assiduously to make Ward G, the best Ward In Ojokoro LCDA, in this regard, he described him as the "Shining Light" of the Parliament.


May this project inspire more developmental initiatives within our Ward and beyond. May it strengthen the bond between leadership and the people. And may it serve as a reminder that when leaders and communities work together, meaningful progress is always within reach.
