Fire Outbreak: Hon. Olotu Sympathises With Awori Sawmill Fire Victims




The Member representing the good people of Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 02 at the Lagos State House Of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu has sympathized with the victims over the fire incident that gutted the Awori Sawmill, Abule Egba, Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway in Lagos State on Sunday, 4th February, 2024 at about 3:45pm 


In a statement by his Media Team, the Proactive Legislator said, he was shocked by the incident.


Hon. Olotu expressed regret over the fire outbreak that claimed the means of livelihood of many traders and over ten vehicles were burnt.


“It is with heavy heart that I received the news of the fire outbreak that gutted the popular Sawmill in Awori, Lagos State, where millions of goods were loss via the fire outbreak.



“I commiserate with the victims of the fire for the disruption of their economic activities as a result of the unfortunate incident.


“I want to appeal to the people to remain calm and law abiding as the government of the state looks into the situation. 



Hon. Olotu met with the Chairman of the Sawmill, Team Head, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Team Head, LASEMA to actualised what really caused the Outbreak.


In conclusion, the fire outbreak was caused by the disconnection of High Tension Wire. 


The Lagos State Fire And Rescue Service Are working assiduously to Quell the Fire.
