LSO Salutes Teachers Resilience In Shaping The Nation

Lateef Olawale, a teacher/facilitator in ONILEKERE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL has saluted Nigerian teachers’ particularly Lagos Teachers resilience and courage amidst identified challenges as the World Teachers’ Day is marked.

I made the commendation in a statement issued today, Saturday 5th October, 2024 to rejoice with his colleagues in teaching profession in Lagos state on the occasion of this year’s World Teachers’ Day.

The theme of this year Teacher's Day: Valuing Teachers: _"Voices Towards A New Social Contract For Education"_, speaks volume that  Teacher remain essential in shaping society future i.e Teaching is a noble profession!

William Arthur Ward once said:“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”

Our passion, sacrifice, and devotion to our profession are not only invaluable but also critical to the success of our education system and the development of our nation.

“On this special day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to every teacher in Lagos State, which I'm also one of them. We teachers are the true architects of our future, moulding the hearts and minds of young learners, nurturing their potential, and inspiring them to reach greater heights.

”Our work goes beyond imparting knowledge; We shape character, encourage critical thinking, and foster a lifelong love for learning.

Happy World Teachers' Day
