Mandate Movement Resurfaces Stronger Than Ever After 3-Year Ban

In a momentous event yesterday, the Mandate Movement, a political caucus affiliated with the APC, marked its resurgence after a ban lasting over three years. The revival culminated in the inauguration of new executive officers who pledged their allegiance in a solemn oath.

The apex leadership, including notable figures like Hon. Bisi Yusuf, the immediate past Lagos House of Assembly who represented Alimosho constituency 01, and former House of Representatives members such as Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo and Alhaji Abiodun Isola Ejigbadero, took center stage. The event also witnessed the presence of distinguished individuals like APC party Chairman for Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, the former Vice Chairman, Alimosho local government, Hon. Francis Adebisi, and more.

The inauguration ceremony extended beyond the apex leadership, reaching local government and council development areas under Alimosho federal constituency. Hon. Lateef Banjo, leading the state officials, officiated the proceedings, expressing congratulations to the newly appointed executives. Banjo highlighted the commendable steadfastness and humility of Adebanjo and Bisi, acknowledging their years of perseverance.

In a surprising turn of events, Banjo revealed that Adebanjo and Bisi had shown uncommon humility, despite their elevated status, supporting the former leader of the group and Alimosho federal constituency, even though he was a mere "errand boy" before his elevation to the level of a leader, to achieve greatness. The state executives status was conferred upon Adebanjo and Bisi, while Ejigbadero was appointed as the coordinator for the entire Alimosho federal constituency.

Responding to the gesture, Bisi emphasized the Mandate Movement's commitment to rebuilding the APC without resorting to witch hunts or oppression of anyone. He underscored the group's mission to provide recognition and a sense of belonging to all party members. Bisi extended an invitation to party loyalists who are not yet members of the Mandate Movement, emphasizing its inclusive approach within the APC. The resurgence of the Mandate Movement signals a renewed vigor within the political landscape as it aims to unite party members for a stronger APC.
