Party Stalwarts converge at Amje for Late Alhaji Hassan Ajeigbe One-Year Memorial Prayer
Eminent Politicians in Ojokoro LCDA converged at Amje's house on Saturday, 25th, November 2023 for the one-year memorial firdau prayer in honour of a true democrat and political icon, Alhaji Hassan Taiwo Ajeigbe "Amje".
The Politicians, which includes, Hon. Jelili Oseni, Hon. Shina Are, Prince Kolawole Esho Idowu, Mr. Fadare Adebisi, Hon. Wale George, Mr. Felix Okocha, , Hon. AbdulWasii Aleshinloye, Chief Mrs. Yemisi Owojori, Mrs. Adaramaja, Mrs. P. F Awoola and other All Progressives Congress (APC) faithfuls extolled the virtues of Late Amje, saying he left indelible footprints.
Earlier, while delivering a sermon at the residence of Amje located at Amje, Alakuko, in Lagos, a renowned Muslim cleric, the Chief Imam of Amje Central Mosque, Sheik Abdul Ganiu Olatunji tasked political leaders and other public office holders to leave a good legacy in their respective office.
He stated: We are here remembering Late Hassan Ajeigbe because he did his best in terms of politics and service to humanity when he was alive. With the memories of him, it seems as if he just died yesterday. Leaders in the country should struggle to leave a positive impression about themselves not because of today, but because of tomorrow and future.”
Describing Late Ajeigbe as an epitome of kindness and service, Sheikh said “he (Amje) had left good legacies behind. We should all try to do our best so that people can have a good memory of our deeds on earth.”
“The Party Chairman, Hon. Jelili Oseni said Baba had a grasp understanding of conflict resolution and he deployed his vast experience in politics and governance to bring about visible socio-economic growth of Ifako Ijaiye and Ojokoro.
In his remark, Mandate Movement Chairman, Hon. Shina Are, underscored the need to work for the collective interest of the people, noting that “Late Ajeigbe deserves to be commended for his frankness and sincerity on issues, regardless of political or religious inclinations. He would always speak his mind.”
Also speaking, APC Stalwart in Ojokoro LCDA, Prince Kolawole Esho Idowu "Rekete" said that Baba had done his best for the local government, saying “his inputs and impacts in Ifako Ijaiye and Ojokoro is well noticable and appreciated.
At the one-year memorial firdau prayer, were Baba Junior brother, Alhaji Remi Ajeigbe, Late Amje's wives, his Children, and other members of Amje's family.
