SUBSIDY PALLIATIVES: Hon. Emmanuel Olotu distributes LASG food packages to Ojokoro constituents
The Member, House of Assembly representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 02 and also Chairman, Standing Committee on Agriculture Hon. Emmanuel Olotu has rolled out over 500 pieces of food palliatives via the Lagos State Government Food Bank to his constituents in an ongoing effort to cushion the effect of subsidy removal in the country.
The beneficiaries of the palliatives were drawn from all the Seven Wards in Ojokoro LCDA.
The move was an intervention to complement the various efforts by Federal government, to ease the hardship currently being faced by the people of his Constituency.
The palliatives which was distributed by the Chairman of Olotu Campaign Organisation, Hon. Nosiru Busari, Chairman, APC Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Jelili Oseni, APC Secretary, Most Snr. Sanjo Ogunmoyede and Hon. Olotu's Constituency Aide, Hon. Benjamin Jolaoso Custard.
On behalf of the lawmaker, Hon. Nosiru Busari however, reiterated that the Lagos State Government had started the implementation of the 50% reduction in BRT fares and commercial buses as well as free health care service to pregnant women in the State.
You will also recall that on September 3, 2023, Mr Governor flagged off the food bank programme, with a goal to reach about 500,000 households in the State as well as 250 Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
"Such is what we are doing at the Party Secretariat by monitoring the distribution process by ensuring those in need are reached out to," he added.
The beneficiaries, while receiving the food packages, appreciated the Lawmaker and the Lagos State Government for reaching out to them. Each food pack contains Rice, Garri and Beans.
In addition cash were also given to the beneficiaries to complement the food palliatives.
