IGBO COMMUNITY IN LAGOS DRUMS SUPPORT FOR GOV. BABAJIDE OLUSOLA SANWO-OLU

The Igbo community in Lagos State have been advised to go about their normal business without fear of molestation as the state government will continue to ensure the safety of lives and property of all residents.

The assurance was given in Lagos few days ago by the Director General of the Independent Campaign Council (ICC) Lagos APC, Mr Tayo Ayinde when the Igbo community paid a solidarity visit to the ICC office in Ikeja.

Ayinde said the administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu had been working assiduously towards ensuring the health and prosperity of all residents regardless of tribe or religious affiliations which means, he deserves  the votes of all residents for a second term in office.

Earlier in his address the leader of the political wing of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Solomon Ogbona pledged their unflinching support for the All Progressives Congress, APC in the March 11 Gubernatorial election.

He acknowledged that his people had prospered in Lagos because of the accommodating nature of their host communities.

He urged Ndigbo in Lagos to vote en masse for APC to reciprocate the good gesture.

Also, Mr Ayinde and the ICC leadership visited Agege and Ifako-Ijaye local governments for town hall meetings to review the recently held Presidential election.

Mr Ayinde after a parley with political leaders at the grassroots promised to address their grievances and ensure a more united APC at the state, local government and ward levels.

The grassroots political leaders promised to immediately embark on a house to house campaign to ensure that more Lagosians come out to exercise their franchise in the March 11 gubernatorial elections.

Signed:

Tinubu/ Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC)
